Bryan Robson admits he’d ‘love’ to see 28-year-old sign for United and get iconic jersey

Manchester United Football Club have a whole host of legends who have represented our iconic jersey down the years, and that list is ever-growing. One of the biggest heroes throughout the eighties was none other than Captain Marvel; Bryan Robson.

The now 60-year-old has tried his hand at management, but that didn’t really work out for him. That doesn’t matter to the Red Devils though, who’ll always fondly remember him for his playing days.

Now, the Manchester United global ambassador has been speaking to the media about a whole host of topics, including who he’d like to see at the Theatre of Dreams. One man who’s name came up was that of Alexis Sanchez, the Chilean winger previously of FC Barcelona who is now at Arsenal.

“I know that Sanchez seems to be a bit unsettled at Arsenal. He wears number seven at Arsenal. I wouldn’t mind seeing Sanchez come in wearing the number seven for Manchester United.” Robson exclusively told the excellent football website, Sport Witness.

Whilst it would be absolutely out of this world to see Sanchez don the famous Manchester United jersey, I just don’t see this deal happening at all. We all know what happened with Robin van Persie, and I cannot see The Gunners letting the exact same situation happen again here.

Alright, I personally don’t see Sanchez staying at The Emirates, but there is absolutely no way Wenger will allow him to move to another Premier League side.

Sanchez is the type of guy who’d fit into pretty much any team in world football, and there is no doubting that Manchester United would benefit from his signature. If any manager could pull this one off, I’d put trust in Jose Mourinho to do so. We’ll just have to wait and see how this one plays out.
