Dutch paper, Omroep Gelderland has posted a photo of left back Alexander Büttner holding a United shirt. They are also claiming that the 23-year old has penned a deal which will keep him at the club for the next five years. The rumoured fee for the player is just short of the £4million mark.
Büttner will provide some decent cover for Evra, it seems he is very highly rated in his homeland of Holland. At least it gives us the option of resting Patrice every now and then, especially in the games against the lesser teams. With the price tag being a relatively small one, it means that even if he were to fail, it won’t be that big of a loss.
I honestly think that we only need him for a year or two, with Tyler Blackett learning all the time, I can see the youngster being ready to take over the left back slot once Patrice Evra retires.
The deal is yet to be confirmed on the clubs official website, with an unveiling rumoured to be scheduled for Friday.
