Well, Paul Pogba’s France safely made it through, beating Uruguay 2-0 in pretty convincing fashion. World Cup action with Red Devils participation continues at 19:00 BST, as Fred’s Brazil take on both Romelu Lukaku’s and Marouane Fellaini’s Belgium.

Although we’re yet to see Fred take part in this World Cup, being involved in that winning atmosphere can only be an excellent booster for his confidence. He’s obviously a brilliantly talented player, as keeping Fabinho out of the squad is no easy task. It’s just a shame that he has some world-class footballers in front of him.

We all know about the star-studded Belgium team, fronted by Lukaku, who has four World Cup goals to his name at this point. The striker has been in excellent form, not only finding the back of the net, but holding the ball up superbly, while bringing others into play.

Fellaini has been in and out of the Red Devils’ line-up, but he was great against England. Then, in the round of sixteen against Japan, he scored the second goal to tie things up at 2-2. His importance for club and country continues.

Personally, I like Brazil in this one. I think it’ll be a close encounter, but their star man Neymar should have enough to get the job done. Tite’s men are favourites for the fixture, and you can check out that market, plus others, here, if you fancy a dabble.

With just an hour to go until the big kick-off, it’s going to be an interesting watch, particularly for France fans, whom they’ll learn what team they’ll face-off against in the semi-final. Hopeful England supporters will be keeping a keen eye on proceedings, too.
