Manchester United legend says ‘he expects more’ from Bastian Schweinsteiger

Manchester United play host to PSV Eindhoven tomorrow, and ahead of the game Paul Scholes has made yet another bizarre comment. This time Bastian Schweinsteiger is in the firing line, with the ginger prince ‘expecting more’ from the World Cup winner.

“You expect more from Schweinsteiger, a player who’s won the World Cup and the Champions League.” Paul Scholes said.

It seems as though the Manchester United legend has turned his attentions off of the manager and now onto the players. I’m not quite sure what else he expects from Schweinsteiger, because the German has been different class since his arrival at Old Trafford.

He links the play up wonderfully, gets teammates involved regularly and always has that keen eye for a pass. Manchester United have lacked any real presence in the middle of the park over recent years, but the German maestro certainly brings some of that back.
