2016/16 Player Ratings: Manchester United 2-0 Chelsea – Awesome Ander Herrera

David de Gea – Quite literally had nothing to do. The Spaniard was as much a spectator as everyone else who was in Old Trafford. 6/10

Antonio Valencia – Awesome, as per usual. He was brilliant on the defensive side of the ball and bombed forward to help out Rashford. 7/10

2016/17 Player Ratings: Anderlecht 1-1 Manchester United

Sergio Romero – Didn’t really have an awful lot to do, except pick the ball out of the back of his net. 6/10

Antonio Valencia – Great to have him back in the starting eleven.

Player Ratings: Sunderland 0-3 Manchester United – Magical Mkhi

Sergio Romero – Did very well in David de Gea’s absence. Made some great saves and distributed brilliantly. 7/10

Matteo Darmian – Started as the right-back and defensively he was excellent. 6/10

Player Ratings: Manchester United 1-1 Everton – Bailly shines & Rashford struggles

David de Gea – Would be harsh to blame him for Everton’s goal. Untested putting that aside. 6/10

Ashley Young – Not bad defensively, but very limited going forward. Subbed off with a groin injury. 5/10

David de Gea – Didn’t have a save to make throughout until midway through the second half. 6/10

Antonio Valencia – Tank. Bombed forward as per usual but couldn’t really find the right cross into the box. 5/10

Man United Player Ratings vs Boro: Lingard stars but defenders struggle

David de Gea – Had a fairly quiet afternoon. Couldn’t do anything about the goal and made a smart stop to prevent Gaston Ramirez from scoring. 6/10

Antonio Valencia – Scored the goal that killed the game and his all-round display was very solid. My Player of the Season so far. 8/10

Sergio Romero – Outstanding. Some of the saves he made, David de Gea would have been proud of. 7/10

Antonio Valencia – He’s just an animal. Tony V works tirelessly all game and showed no signs of letting up. 7/10

Player Ratings: Chelsea 1-0 Manchester United – Brilliant Rojo display

David de Gea – Made some brilliant saves in the first half. Although Chelsea had the better of the play, our keeper wasn’t really tested as the game wore on. 7/10

Antonio Valencia – Played outstanding and never gave in. He’s really turning into a guy our boss can rely on. 7/10

Sergio Romero – Unfortunately won’t get a clean sheet but there wasn’t much he could do about it. 5/10

Ashley Young – Went about his defensive job effectively, but he was quite limited in an attacking sense. 5/10

David de Gea – The Spaniard didn’t have anything to do except pick the ball out of the back of his net. 5/10

Antonio Valencia – Decent. The way he fizzed that ball into the box for Rojo’ goal was great. Looked to be struggling with an injury late on. 5/10
