Chris Smalling hoping for Arsenal favour as United’s top four hopes kept alive

Manchester United Football Club will be hoping for a favour from an unlikely source tomorrow, with the club wanting a favour from Arsenal. Chris Smalling had his say on the situation after United’s 1-0 victory at home to Norwich, and he’s hopeful.

“We can recover tomorrow. Hopefully Manchester City vs Arsenal can go in our favour and then it’s down to us.” Chris Smalling said.

They’ll certainly be plenty of Manchester United fans watching that huge game tomorrow, and with plenty of confidence too. Manchester City haven’t looked anywhere near as good as they should be since announcing Pep Guardiola will be taking over as manager, and that could work to our advantage.

However Arsenal themselves have been very hit and miss, and Arsene Wenger’s job is also on the line. If they can somehow come away from Manchester with a draw, it’ll give us a real opportunity of displacing our rivals in the Champions League slots.

If results don’t go our way, then Louis van Gaal’s job must surely be up for debate. He came in with so much promise but this season he just hasn’t delivered the goods despite the side being in an FA Cup final.
