Manchester United are currently in the middle of a transitional period at this point in time, as Jose Mourinho looks to mould the squad into one that suits his playing style. One player who has faced the axe this term is Bastian Schweinsteiger, who doesn’t look like playing in our colours ever again.
The veteran midfielder currently isn’t training with the first-team, but is clearly determined to stay and fight for his place despite the fact that he has been told it’s unlikely he’ll walk out at Old Trafford as a starter.
Across the town, our noisy neighbours have signed a German midfielder of their own, and for some reason, Ilkay Gundogan has decided to talk about Bastian’s situation at Manchester United.
“I believe that Manchester United could 100 percent benefit from a fit Bastian Schweinsteiger.” Gundogan began.
“If everything you hear and read is true, you can consider it disrespectful. He’s not just some player, and also not only 18 or 19.”
First of all, why is he even bothered what is going on at a rival club? At the end of the day it has precisely nothing to do with him despite the fact that they are both German players.
His form since his arrival at City has been very average, and in fact he got absolutely bullied in the middle by Celtic in the Champions League, so why he feels the need to speak up is beyond me.
