Manchester United are in the Champions League group stage proper, thanks to a splendid 4-0 performance away in Bruges last night. Sergio Romero kept another clean sheet and made a good save at the end of the first half to preserve that, but the United goalkeeper still on everyone’s lips is David de Gea.
Paul Scholes was apart of the panel for BT Sport last night and was quizzed about the attitude of David de Gea. The ginger prince slammed his former teammate and labeled him ‘out of order’.
Scholes said: “De Gea is out of order. He was brought to the club, they paid a lot of money for him and they pay him a lot of money.”
Whilst I do agree with Scholes, a lot of the blame must go to the Manchester United board. They’ve allowed the contract of one of our best players to run down into its final year, which in this day and age is an extremely risky thing to do – particularly when you know Real Madrid are looming.
