According to the Daily Star, Manchester United will be offered Portugal defender Fabio Coentrao for just £10m. The 26-year old is believed to be United’s second choice left-back behind the £30m rated Luke Shaw, but Moyes could be tempted to renew interest in the player he tried to sign on transfer deadline day back in September.
That deal fell through because Real Madrid couldn’t find a replacement in time, but Carlo Ancelotti will look to get rid of Coentrao this summer whilst he still has some transfer value.
The left-back was also subject to interest from fellow Premier League side Chelsea, who’s manager Jose Mourinho has previously worked with Coentrao at the aforementioned Real Madrid. However it is believed their interest has cooled due to the good form of Cesar Azpilicueta, leaving United as favourites for his signature.
