Confirmed Man Utd XI vs Luton Town (Carabao Cup 2020/21)

The confirmed Man Utd XI vs Luton Town is in, with the Red Devils handing two full debuts for the Carabao Cup tie.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has rung the changes, as expected, with the 20-time Premier League champions naming a strong side for their game against Championship outfit, Luton.

After a disappointing evening on Saturday, United simply have to right those wrongs. Make no mistake about it, Luton will want to play and show how good they are.

Credit to the Baby Faced Assassin for not underestimating The Hatters, naming a starting line-up jam-packed with quality. Anyway, let’s get right into it…

Confirmed Man Utd XI vs Luton Town:

As expected, Dean Henderson starts for his Manchester United debut. What a proud moment this will be for the Englishman, who has been at the club for almost a decade.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka returns to the team, in a game that gives him an excellent opportunity to get minutes under his belt. There is also a first appearance of the season for Brandon Williams. Harry Maguire gets the nod, alongside Eric Bailly.

Nemanja Matic will play as he looks to build up those all-important fitness levels, with Fred sitting in alongside him. Donny van de Beek will play in that #10 role.

Odion Ighalo leads the line. On his right is Juan Mata, while Jesse Lingard will play from off the left-flank.

The team has been weakened, but you’d hope this line-up will have more than enough quality to get the job done.
