Manchester United’s final pre-season tour game is here. Then, it’s time for the big Premier League kick-off on Friday.
Bayern Munich will prove to be stern opposition, though, but it’ll be an excellent test for Jose Mourinho’s players who’ll be looking to force their way into the starting XI for the Leicester City clash.
Anyway, the starting line-up is in, and it’s good to see a couple of players involved following their participation in the World Cup.

David de Gea starts in goal. It’ll be good for him to get comfortable again following a pretty terrible World Cup. It certainly looks like he’s staying, though, which is great news for United.
Matteo Darmian’s pre-season has been solid. The Italy international could well have played himself into the line-up for next week, largely due to injuries destroying the squad. Luke Shaw looks a shoe-in to start the season, too. What a confidence booster for the young man. Eric Bailly plays alongside Victor Lindelof, the Ice Man had an excellent time out in Russia.
The midfield trio looks exciting. Ander Herrera plays, as does new signing Fred. Andreas Pereira also gets the nod, and his creativity and excitement will be fun to watch.
Juan Mata’s becoming a regular, and we’re now pretty much used to watching Alexis Sanchez lead the line. Marcus Rashford will get his first pre-season minutes in this one.
