Confirmed Starting XI: Anderlecht vs Manchester United – Shaw drops to bench

Manchester United Football Club continues their Europa League campaign this evening, with Jose Mourinho’s men in Belgium, ready to take on Anderlecht. The game is key to our season as a whole, and we’re desperate for a positive result here.

The starting lineup is in, and as expected, Mourinho has gone very strong. Sergio Romero keeps his place in goal as per usual in the cup games, with the regular partnership of Eric Bailly and Marcos Rojo in front of him. Antonio Valencia does come back into the line-up following injury. Luke Shaw has dropped back down to the bench which is a bit of a shame. Matteo Darmian comes into the mix.

Michael Carrick starts as captain alongside Paul Pogba, allowing both Ander Herrera and Marouane Fellaini to rest up before Chelsea visit Old Trafford on Sunday.

The front four looks exciting, with Jesse Lingard and Marcus Rashford starting either side of Henrikh Mkhitaryan. Zlatan Ibrahimovic leads the line.

Check out the starting XI here:

Romero, Valencia, Darmian, Bailly, Rojo, Carrick, Pogba, Lingard, Mkhitaryan, Rashford, Ibrahimovic.

Subs: De Gea, Blind, Shaw, Fosu-Mensah, Fellaini, Herrera, Martial.
