Confirmed Starting XI: Crystal Palace vs Manchester United – Bailly starts

Manchester United simply have to back up their victory at the weekend, with Jose Mourinho’s men heading down South to take on Crystal Palace. The team news is in, and the gaffer has rung the changes – probably with the hectic winter period in mind.

David de Gea has been named in goal, and it looks as though Eric Bailly has been given the nod at right-back. Phil Jones and Marcos Rojo have been kept together and rightfully so, Daley Blind gets his start in the left-back slot.

The midfield trio has been kept the same, and they absolutely bossed the game against Spurs at the weekend. Michael Carrick protects the back four well, Ander Herrera brings that energy and Paul Pogba gives us that bit of quality.

Juan Mata is brought back into the mix in the absence of Anthony Martial. Wayne Rooney makes a start due to Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s injury, and Zlatan Ibrahimovic leads the line.

Starting XI

De Gea, Bailly, Jones, Rojo, Blind, Carrick, Herrera, Mata, Pogba, Rooney, Ibrahimovic

Subs: Romero, Darmian, Fellaini, Lingard, Schweinsteiger, Young, Rashford.
