Confirmed Starting XI: Crystal Palace vs Manchester United – Lingard starts

Manchester United’s race to finish second place continues this evening, as the Red Devils take on Crystal Palace in a potentially tricky away fixture.

Jose Mourinho has named his starting line-up, and there is only one change from the team that beat Chelsea at Old Trafford last time out.

In comes Jesse Lingard, in place of Anthony Martial, who doesn’t feature in the squad whatsoever. The reason is unknown at this point in time, but it’s likely he’s out with an injury in my opinion.

As for Eric Bailly remaining as a substitute, that surprises me. He’s been back in training for a while now, and with some huge games just upon the horizon, it would have made perfect sense for him to get minutes under his belt.

Another concerning matter is Luke Shaw. He’s comfortably the best left-back on United’s books but for whatever reason, Mourinho seems to absolutely love Ashley Young.

It’s a big night for Alexis Sanchez this evening too. He’s struggled since his move to Old Trafford, tonight presents him with an opportunity to score a goal or put in a convincing display; it’s what we’d all love to see.
