Confirmed Starting XI: FC Basel vs Manchester United – Marcos Rojo starts

Manchester United Football Club needs just a point to ensure qualification into the knockout rounds of the Champions League.

Jose Mourinho’s men will be desperate to get that sorted tonight away in Switzerland, against an FC Basel side who has given the Red Devils problems in the past.

The starting line-up is in, with the self-proclaimed Special One naming an extremely strong team for the all-important fixture.

The first thing your eyes divert to is the fact that Marcos Rojo starts. It has been seven months since we’ve seen the Argentine in action, and it’s absolutely brilliant to have him back available and ready to play. This is a guy that formed a brilliant partnership at the back alongside Eric Bailly last term. At that point, he was probably our most reliable defender.

As you can see from the XI, Mourinho has gone strong, in fact, I expected to see a weakened time. Romelu Lukaku starts, as does Anthony Martial and Ander Herrera.

There is still no Henrikh Mkhitaryan in the squad which is a slight concern, but there is a place on the bench for Luke Shaw who hasn’t played that much football over the last few months.
