Confirmed Starting XI: Leicester City vs Manchester United – Schneiderlin dropped

Manchester United head to Leicester City in a top of the table clash this evening, with Louis van Gaal’s side looking to avenge their 5-3 humiliating defeat at the same ground last season. Ahead of the game, the team news is in and there are one or two surprises.

Paddy McNair comes into the side at right-back, with Matteo Darmian sorting on the left-hand side of the defence. There is also no place in the line-up for Morgan Schneiderlin, as Michael Carrick comes back into the mix after his injury.

The front line is once again where we look the most effective, with Anthony Martial starting up front and Wayne Rooney just in-behind. There is also no Memphis Depay or Jesse Lingard. Ashley Young and Juan Mata start in their place.

Starting XI

De Gea; McNair, Smalling, Blind; Darmian, Carrick, Schweinsteiger, Young; Mata; Rooney, Martial.
