Manchester United take on Real Madrid in the fourth game of pre-season tour. The Red Devils will be looking to continue with their 100% record whilst out in the United States of America so far, but this is certainly the toughest assignment we’ve had to date.
It’s always great to test yourself against the very best, and the starting line-up for the fixture is in. Jose Mourinho has named a nice blend of first-teamers and youngsters and we should be in for an exciting game.
In goal, Sergio Romero has been given the nod and he’ll have the back two of Eric Bailly and Phil Jones in front of him. Timothy Fosu-Mensah starts as the right-back, with Matteo Darmian manning the left hand side.
Michael Carrick will play as the holding midfielder, with Marouane Fellaini and Andreas Pereira just in front of him. It’ll be great to see the little Brazilian in action in a more advanced role.
Then we have the front three, and it’s full of youthful exubrance and talent. Anthony Martial and Jesse Lingard will presumably play as the wide men, with Marcus Rashford once again leading the line.
Romero, Fosu-Mensah, Bailly, Jones, Darmian, Carrick, Fellaini, Pereira, Martial, Lingard, Rashford.
