Manchester United are looking extremely strong going into the news season, in terms of personnel available to Jose Mourinho. Our new manager has done some brilliant business thus far, and his work clearly isn’t done. This game against Galatasaray could well be an exciting one.
As expected, Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been handed his Manchester United debut, with the 34-year-old Swede starting up front. There is also first starts of the tour for David de Gea, Morgan Schneiderlin and Anthony Martial, and you feel this line-up is perhaps three or four players short of what we’ll actually look like when the transfer window slams shut.
It certainly will be interesting to see how these players perform this evening, because we’re getting ever closer to the season opener, and Jose Mourinho will be starting to think about his first Premier League starting line-up in a couple of weeks time.
Starting XI
De Gea; Valencia, Bailly, Blind, Shaw; Schneiderlin, Herrera; Mkhitaryan, Rooney, Martial; Ibrahimovic.
Subs: Johnstone, Romero, Darmian, Jones, Rojo, Carrick, Fellaini, Lingard, Mata, Memphis, Young, Rashford.
