Confirmed Starting XI: Manchester United vs West Ham United – Mkhitaryan starts

Manchester United will be hoping to progress through to the semi-final of the EFL Cup this evening when West Ham come to town. The game itself is the second time we’ve played Bilic’s men in a four day period, so the teams will be familiar with each other’s games.

The team news is in, and Jose has made quite a few changes, despite the fact that he will not be sat on the team bench due to a touchline ban.

Mourinho has rung the changes, including a surprise recall to the match day squad for Bastian Schweinsteiger – who has been named in the eighteen for the first time this season. He is joined on the bench by Jesse Lingard, Juan Mata and Marcus Rashford who have all dropped out. Paul Pogba and Marouane Fellaini are both suspended.

In comes Michael Carrick back from injury which is a welcome boost, there is also a place in the line-up for Henrikh Mkhitaryan who’ll be hoping to continue on from where he left off against Feyenoord. Anthony Martial is named as the left-winger, and Wayne Rooney will captain the side.

Starting XI

De Gea, Valencia, Rojo, Jones, Shaw, Carrick, Herrera, Mkhitaryan, Rooney, Martial, Ibrahimovic

Subs: Romero, Blind, Schneiderlin, Schweinsteiger, Lingard, Mata, Rashford
