Manchester United have received an unexpected boost, as Daley Blind has taken to Twitter to reveal he is back in ‘outside training’. The Dutchman had made a fantastic start to life at his new club before picking up an injury whilst with the Holland national team during the last international break.
Many thought he would originally be out for the season after suffering ligament damage, but that wasn’t the case and instead he has missed about five weeks of action so far.
The sooner Daley is back fit and well the better, because there is no doubt he is a valuable asset to our starting XI. He keeps things simple and picks the intelligent pass more often than not, he also doesn’t shirk a tackle and is great at winning possession back.
I’d imagine Louis van Gaal won’t want to rush him back into action, and with the form of Michael Carrick of late, it allows Blind to get as close to 100% as possible.
