Manchester United’s newest signing, Daniel James, is already making a positive impression on the Old Trafford faithful.
His comments when signing on the dotted line went down a treat – and yesterday, the 21-year-old further endeared himself to the supporters as he took to Twitter to send a message to the fans,
James posted a video online, putting in the work before the United squad is due to report for training on July 1st. It seems as though the winger is trying to get a head start on his teammates, while showing the world that he’s ready to give his all for the badge on his chest.
Some of those drills he was putting in looked pretty strenuous, and fair play to the young man for cutting his summer holiday short in order to get himself fit.
After a forgettable season for United, this is exactly the sort of attitude that we want to see. Hopefully, others follow suit and start hitting the training ground as soon as possible – as on far too many occasions over the last twelve months, this squad has let us down.
For James, this has to be just the start. Making the jump from the Championship to the Premier League isn’t going to be an easy one – but I cannot wait to see this boy in action on United’s pre-season tour of Australasia.
