Manchester United are closing in rapidly on the signature of their third player of the summer. Henrikh Mkhitaryan is looking likely to join the club from Borussia Dortmund, and now the Manchester Evening News say the move will be done before the end of the week.
The 27-year-old Mkhitaryan has just twelve months left on his current deal at Borussia Dortmund, and the German side have confirmed that a deal for Mkhitaryan is in place between the two clubs.
When the deal does go through, Henrikh Mkhitaryan will become the first Armenian to play for Manchester United Football Club, and what a mouthwatering prospect it is.
It is believed that United are just waiting for some minor details to be finalised before confirming the transfer themselves, as they are still in discussions regarding granting him a work permit. Hopefully, these issues will be sorted relatively quickly allowing Edward Woodward to move onto other transfer targets.
