We’ve all been wondering when Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini was set to announce his future, now, we have a date.
According to talkSPORT, the former Everton man will inform everyone what decision he has taken on July 1st.
Honestly, this is all getting a bit much now. He’s hardly a world-class superstar like Lionel Messi. I genuinely don’t think that many people will care where he ends up, so why’s there been such a fuss made about it?
Personally, he should have just confirmed his future before jetting off to the World Cup. It simply cannot be good for anyone if his future is up i the air where he’s trying to compete in a major tournament. If it were me, I’d find it a huge distraction.
At first, I wanted him to stick around. As a squad player I liked him as a plan B, but the way this has dragged on, I just want Fellaini away from Old Trafford now; he’s hardly irreplaceable.
I guess the only shame is the fact that we’re not recouping any of the £27.5million that we paid to sign him from Everton five years ago, but at 30, I don’t think we would have gotten all that much anyway. No doubt I’ve just jinxed it all and now he’ll stay in Manchester.
