David de Gea labelled best goalkeeper in the world by Man Utd teammate

Manchester United made it into the semi-final of the FA Cup for the first time in years last night, largely thanks to an outstanding defensive display from Tim Fosu-Mensah. The young Dutchman won plenty of key tackles, and even got United moving forward in an attacking sense.

The 18-year old who is looking wise beyond his years spoke to the media after the game, and he singled out praise for David de Gea, who he believes is maybe the best goalkeeper in the world.

“David is one of the best goalkeepers in the world, maybe the best.” Fosu-Mensah said.

De Gea went from the most criticised keeper in the country to without doubt the best over the last few years, and to watch his development has been an absolute joy.

The Spaniard is brilliant at saving one-on-ones, particularly with his feet, and his ability to stop chances that look like certain goals really is out of this world, and we are lucky to have him.
