David de Gea to earn €10m after Madrid deal falls through

David de Gea must be absolutely heartbroken that his transfer to Real Madrid didn’t go through in time, but hopefully he’ll remain the consummate professional and continue to work hard despite not getting his dream move.

According to the Spanish publication AS, David de Gea is set to receive a €10million payout from Real Madrid as he wasn’t able to join the Galactico’s this summer.

This will surely soften the blow for the Spaniard, and when you factor in that the Old Trafford fans absolutely adore the 25-year old, he’ll soon realise that it isn’t the worst thing in the world having to spend another season in Manchester.

At the end of the day we all know he’ll go to Real Madrid next season, but its refreshing to see Manchester United stand firm regarding a player and not lower their asking price whatsoever – forcing Real Madrid to wait until the last possible second.
