Manchester United have announced their Player of the Month for October, and the winner – David de Gea. The young Spaniard had an absolutely brilliant month, including a Man of the Match performance against Everton, and a stunning save against Chelsea which eventually led to Robin van Persie securing a last minute equaliser which they thoroughly deserved.
This award follows up his Player of the Season award which he won last campaign, as his excellent run of form seems to be continuing which is brilliant to see. De Gea has made a meteoric rise to the top over the past twelve months, so-much-so he could well be Spain’s first choice keeper by the time the next internationals come around.
David de Gea beat Angel Di Maria and Marouane Fellaini to the award, as he scooped 70% of the fan vote.
