DEAL DONE: Man Utd complete another piece of transfer business

The January transfer window is in full swing as we enter the midway point of the month, and Manchester United have completed another piece of transfer activity – another young player has been loaned out until the end of the season, and this time its Sam Johnstone.

The 21-year old was recalled back from a loan spell at Doncaster Rovers this afternoon, and shortly after that news broke, Manchester United confirmed that he’ll spend the rest of the season on loan at Preston North End.

Things haven’t quite progressed the way Johnstone would’ve wanted recently, and a series of loan moves since 2011 have certainly hampered his development. Big things were once expected of the Englishman, but now it looks inevitable that the shot-stopper will permanently move away from Manchester United as soon as a potential buyer is found.
