Derby day predicted XI: Manchester City vs Manchester United

Manchester United face one of their toughest tasks of the season this weekend, with Louis van Gaal taking his side just ten minutes up the road to take part in the Manchester derby. This fixture is usually a battle for the championship, but this time round a spot in the top four is the prize.

Ahead of the game we’ve decided to take a look at the probable starting line-up for the game, as well as a few settings tips here and there that could win you a few quid.

David de Gea is likely to get the nod in goal after another superb outing, and he’ll have Matteo Darmian back in at right-back after Guillermo Varela’s horror show. Chris Smalling and Daley Blind will remain as the back two, with Marcos Rojo at left-back.

The midfield certainly needs shaking up, and now would be the perfect time to reunite Morgan Schneiderlin and Bastian Schweinsteiger in the heart of defence, with the latter coming in at a massive 21/1 to score first.

Memphis Depay has to return to the line-up, as does Ander Herrera who has been superb over recent outings. Anthony Martial will be pushed back to the right, with Marcus Rashford starting as the lone striker.

The game itself is obviously going to be a tough one, and with three points being an absolute must here, United simply have to go for broke. Louis van Gaal’s records in the so called-big games has been quite exemplary, and he’ll be looking for that to continue here. If you reckon United can do the business, why not back them to sneak it 1-0 at odds of 23/2.

Predicted Starting XI:

De Gea; Darmian, Smalling, Blind, Rojo; Schneiderlin, Schweinsteiger; Depay, Herrera, Martial; Rashford.
