Yesterday was a busy day in terms of transfer outs for Manchester United Football Club. Early on, Celtic confirmed that they’d taken young Tyler Blackett on a season-long loan, and shortly after, Jonny Evans’ move to West Brom on a permanent transfer was announced by the midlands club.
Evans, 27, has been a superb servant for Manchester United, but the last couple of seasons have been nothing short of tragic for the Northern Irishman.
Its a shame really because in his first few seasons he looked superb with the likes of Nemanja Vidic and Rio Ferdinand guiding him through games, but when he had to step up and be that senior figure it hasn’t quite worked out.
Upon leaving, Evans said: “It’s a new, fresh challenge for me and one I’m looking forward to. I know a few of the lads already and I spoke to a couple, who highly recommended the club.”
All the best Jonny!
