Manchester United Football Club have begun their culling under Jose Mourinho. Our new boss is notorious for selling those younger players who drift in and out of the team, and a couple of starlets have been shipped off on permanent deals.
David Moyes’ Sunderland and Manchester United have confirmed that Paddy McNair and Donald Love have made the move to the Stadium of Light, in a double deal worth £5.5million.
McNair had a stunning debut season under Louis van Gaal, and really cemented himself in the matchday squad on a regular basis. However, last term was a real struggle for the Northern Irishman, and he didn’t really get anywhere near enough minutes to continue his development.
Donald Love has always been there or thereabouts with the U21s, but it isn’t any real surprise to see him leave the club permanently in pursuit of regular minutes elsewhere.
