Dylan Levitt set for loan move away from Man United this summer: report

A Dylan Levitt loan move looks to be in the offing this summer, with the Wales youth international currently weighing up his options.

That’s according to the Manchester Evening News, who state that Levitt, who made his debut this season (his only app as a Red Devil) is set for a loan move away this summer. Currently, he’s weighing up his options.

The 19-year-old has a ‘number’ of offers, with a move to the Championship most likely – following in James Garner’s footsteps, who is set to seal a short-term deal to Swansea in the not too distant future.

As of right now, Levitt also isn’t ruling out a loan move abroad. The classy midfielder apparently had offers from Holland just last summer, though he opted to stay at the Theatre of Dreams instead.

Levitt apparently ‘set fans into overdrive’ earlier in the week when he quickly deleted a cryptic tweet about his future. However, the MEN state that the photo was sent in error, with the ‘…’ caption supposed to be used on another photo…

Is Levitt good enough?

It’s probably too soon to answer that question, though the talent is there. He didn’t look out of place on his Europa League start against Astana, in fact, he probably looked more accomplished than the aforementioned Garner.

The problem for him is that United’s squad is pretty packed in his position and there aren’t enough minutes to go around. Right now, the best thing for him is regular football elsewhere.

If he impresses, Levitt could come back to United next summer as someone who will be on the fringes of things. He needs to choose his loan club wisely, though, as the on-field minutes are all-important for his development.
