The hectic winter period is amongst us, and now the games will start coming thick and fast. Jose Mourinho tends to thrive in these situations, and here is to hoping that we’ll start making a dent into Manchester City’s lead at the top of the table.
Next up for Manchester United is a game away at Watford. The Red Devils simply cannot afford to drop any more points at the moment, so the importance of this fixture has been heightened significantly.
Ahead of the match, the Manchester Evening News has confirmed the squad that manager Mourinho will have at his disposal, and there a couple of notable absentees – Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Marouane Fellaini. On top of that, there is still no places for the injured defensive duo of Phil Jones and Eric Bailly.
There is places for the likes of Matteo Darmian and Daley Blind who both struggled against Basel last midweek. On top of that, Scott McTominay has travelled as the youngsters stock continues to rise. Zlatan Ibrahimovic heads South with the rest of the team, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see him handed a start.
