Chelsea winger Willian is open to a summer move to Manchester United this summer.
That’s what sources are telling ESPN, although the Stamford Bridge club would be reluctant to let the Brazil international leave; particularly after what happened with Nemanja Matic last summer.
The 29-year-old right-winger, who was recently named Chelsea’s Player’s Player of the Year, scored a brilliant goal against the Red Devils at Old Trafford earlier on in the season; and he was by far and away the Blues’ biggest threat.
However, he didn’t start the FA Cup final against us for whatever reason, and it seems as though he has fallen out of favour in London; hence why a move could well be on the cards.
Where United are concerned, right-wing has been a real problem position. Jose Mourinho has a wealth of options over on the left, but his best player on the opposite flank has been Juan Mata; and he’s not really set the Premier League alight this term.
Bringing in Willian would add more experience into the mix which is something that Mourinho obviously loves. It’s a signing that’d certainly make sense at this point in time, but I’m just not sure Chelsea will sanction the deal.
