Manchester United welcomed Eric Bailly back to the starting eleven last night, with the Ivorian being fit enough to start his first game in about two months after a knee injury. The 22-year-old has been a real hit amongst the fans due to his brilliant performances, and overall he’s been a joy to watch.
However, midway through the first half, Bailly picked up a problem with his other knee after a collision with an opposing player. Although the centre-back lasted until the second half, he was finally forced off as the injury didn’t ease up.
Now today, Bailly has taken to Twitter to give the fans an update on the injury, and thankfully, it doesn’t look as bad as first feared which is absolutely huge as we enter the hectic winter period.
Check out Eric Bailly’s tweet here:
Happy to announce that my injury isn't too serious. Hope to be able to help my team again soon! Thank you for the support!🙌🏾 pic.twitter.com/plXfkS7nSk

Although Bailly doesn’t give us an exact date as to when we can expect him back, he seems extremely upbeat about the injury and perhaps we’ll have him back on Boxing Day which would be great.
Let’s not forget that we won’t have him for pretty much all of January and the beginning of February either, due to the fact that he’ll be jetting off to the African Cup of Nations in a couple of weeks time.
