Manchester United Football Club have improved in recent weeks, and although the results haven’t displayed that at times, the all-round performances have been good. One man who has rarely featured in that spell is midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin, and now the writing could be on the wall for him.
According to the Daily Telegraph, Everton manager Ronald Koeman is ready to offer the French midfielder a new start at Goodison Park. However, the Toffees will face competition to sign the 27-year-old, with West Brom also interested in trying a January bid.
The report says that both clubs hope to get a deal done for around £20million, which would have to be considered pretty good business for Manchester United because he’s barely featured.
Personally, I feel that Everton would be the frontrunners for his signature as they are regarded as the ‘bigger club’ and Schneiderlin has already worked with Ronald Koeman during their time at Southampton together.
It would be a real shame to see Morgan Schneiderlin leave Old Trafford so easily, because when we signed him in 2015, it felt like he could be the key man to anchor our midfield – but sadly, that hasn’t happened.
