Ex-United boss Louis van Gaal eyeing shock return to Premier League management: report

Just over twelve months ago now, we said goodbye to Louis van Gaal just days after delivering us an FA Cup title. The Iron Tulip had a mixed time at the Theatre of Dreams and was often criticised for his style of play. Now though, he could be in line for a shock return to the Premier League.

That’s according to the Daily Mirror, who say that the Dutchman is interested in managing South Coast club, Southampton. Claude Puel is reportedly ready to be shown the door by The Saints and they’ll be wanting to replace him – and Van Gaal’s name is now in the ring. Bookies are already taking bets on him becoming the next Southampton manager. A look at this site BetBright casino review will show you the different odds.

After a year away from football, the former United boss could be ready to jump right back into the deep end that is the rigours of Premier League football.

It must have been hard for him to get sacked after delivering our first major trophy post-Sir Alex Ferguson, but he did the right thing by taking some time off and working out what he plans to do in the future.

I was of the opinion that he would retire after being shown the door by the Red Devils, but credit for him for even thinking about a return. If he does come back, I hope he does well – but obviously not when we come to town!
