According to the Sunday Telegraph, Real Madrid’s left-back Fabio Coentrao is set to seal a loan move to Manchester United. The loan will be until the end of the season, and it is yet unclear whether the move will include a clause where United can buy the 25-year old left-back in the summer.
Its thought that David Moyes has been ‘unsure’ on whether Coentrao would improve the United squad, but due to the recent poor results, particularly at home, Moyes feels the need to bring in at least one big name player. Its a move I’d certainly welcome, the 25-year old’s versatility is a massive bonus, as he can play left-back, left-wing and even in central midfield.
Its clear that United need fresh faces through the Old Trafford doors, and signing Coentrao would certainly be a good start.
