Five Manchester United youth players train with first-team with PSV game in sight

Manchester United Football Club are a team known to promote youngsters and big on giving teenagers a chance, and that has certainly come to the fore over the last few weeks – but predominantly due to a whole host of injuries affecting the first-team squad.

Today there were huge opportunities for a handful of youngsters who were given the chance to train with the first-team. Nick Powell fresh off his return to action last night was involved, as was Sean Goss who has been on the bench in recent weeks.

There was also a chance for young James Weir, Manchester United’s summer signing Regan Poole and Guillermo Varela.

Who knows, these youngsters could well get their chance if the last few weeks have been anything to go by. Cameron Borthwick-Jackson got his big opportunity just before the international break as he made his debut, Jesse Lingard has been shining for the first-team over recent weeks and there was even a Premier League cameo for Andreas Pereira against Watford.
