Former Manchester United player takes dig at club following European exit

Manchester United Football Club were dumped out of the Champions League on Tuesday, and the club will now play in the Europa League come February. One former red – Danny Higginbotham, has taken a swipe at United following their exit.

“If United were looking to sign players, It’d be a lot easier if they were in the Champions League than the Europa League.” Danny Higginbotham said.

At the end of the day, yes, he’s right – Manchester United will find it much tougher to lure big names to Old Trafford in January. But, when you think about it, those marquee players rarely move clubs in the middle of the season.

Honestly I think the only problem will take place if Manchester United aren’t in the Champions League next season – meaning they cannot offer the top players European Football cold serious hinder the chances of luring the worlds best to Old Trafford.
