Fourth Man United player forced to withdraw from internationals with injury: report

Manchester United have had a tough week. Back-to-back losses to Arsenal and Wolverhampton Wanderers were tough to stomach, while players are dropping like flies through injury.

Luke Shaw, Anthony Martial and Nemanja Matic have already been forced to withdraw from international duty. Now, they’ve been joined back at United by Romelu Lukaku, according to Belgian journalist Kristof Terreur, who works for HLN.

He tweeted that Lukaku underwent tests on Monday and left the Belgium camp that evening – as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer continues to lose bodies almost on a daily basis…

The injury was picked up during United’s huge victory over PSG in the Champions League a fortnight ago – and it did rule him out of the Red Devils’ game against Wolves last time out.

However, the fact that he did travel to Belgium to be a part of the squad tells me that the problem probably isn’t too serious. He now has the best part of a fortnight to fully recover and get himself back available for selection when United host Watford at Old Trafford on March 30th.

His absence was sorely felt last time out, so hopefully, he’s ready and raring to go and get our top-four bid back on track.
