Manchester United Football Club have recently been linked with a sensational move to bring Cristiano Ronaldo back to the Theatre of Dreams. The 32-year-old will go down as an icon of this great club, and the thought of him coming back is obviously an exciting one.
However, according to Italian journalist Tancredi Palmeri, Jose Mourinho has turned down the chance to sign Ronaldo. The self-proclaimed Special One has told his employers to not enter negotiations with Los Blancos to bring the superstar ‘home’.
It's all true: Mourinho has vetoed Manchester United from entering in any negotiations for Cristiano Ronaldo

For sentimental value, it’d be absolutely insane to see Ronaldo come back to Old Trafford in our famous red jersey, but for business sense – it just doesn’t fit right.
Ronaldo is 32 now and obviously isn’t getting any younger. His best years are already behind him, and no doubt you’d be looking at an astronomical sum of money to sign him – probably more than the £80million that we sold him for.
You just have to trust Mourinho. He has gotten every single one of his transfer decisions 100% correct so far, and we’ve no reason to doubt him at all until that changes.
He’s great at what he does and the gaffer knows exactly what he wants. It’s nice to see him not get sidetracked by a deal that would probably be nigh-on impossible to complete.
