From Sky: Agent of 24-year-old arrives at stadium to discuss potential Man United move

Manchester United have one signing in the bag, and now attentions have seemingly switched to potentially pushing a deal for Alvaro Morata over the line. Today, we’ve been given another update in that saga and it comes from Sky Sports News’ Kaveh Solhekol.

He tweeted out that Morata’s agent, Juanma Lopez, has arrived at the Santiago Bernabeu as he continues to talk with Real Madrid officials about a possible move from Spain to England, namely United.

However, Solhekol states that the Spanish giants are still holding out for more than £70million to let Morata go. To be honest, in the current market you can hardly blame them for trying to get all they can for a man who scored 20 goals in all competitions last season.

I’m a huge admirer of Morata’s and it would be a wonderful bit of business if Jose Mourinho could pull it off. However, if there is any manager who can convince a player to move, the self-proclaimed Special One is that guy.

Just look at what he did last summer without Champions League on the table. He convinced both Paul Pogba and Zlatan Ibrahimovic to come here which is absolutely crazy.

Anyway, I just hope that the clubs can come to some sort of agreement because we’re desperate for a new striker.
