The transfer window is now just around the corner, which also means those rumours linking Manchester United with big-money moves will become more frequent. Today feels like the first time we’ve been linked with a player that has credible sources behind it; and it’s a huge one.
Sky Sources say that Jose Mourinho and United have been offered the chance to sign Colombia star, James Rodriguez. The 25-year-old has been largely on the periphery of things since his move to Spain back in 2014, and is now seemingly looking to move away in search of regular playing time elsewhere.
According to the aforementioned story, sources close to Rodriguez believe it’ll take somewhere in the region of £50million to land his signature, which to be honest, isn’t that bad all things considered.
This is a player that lit up the World Cup not so long ago, and whenever he has been offered the chance to play for Real Madrid, more often than not he is delivered.
I’d take him at Old Trafford in a heartbeat, and I’ve got no doubts that he’d rapidly improve our starting line-up if he were to make the move to Manchester. We’ve been lacking that creativity in the final third, and the attacking midfielder would definitely bring that in abundance, as well as being able to score goals out of absolutely nothing opportunities.
