Manchester United Football Club’s preparations for their Europa League tie against Anderlecht will be well underway. The Red Devils are now into the last eight, and they’ll be hoping to lift the trophy by the time the end of May comes around.
Ahead of the game, manager Jose Mourinho will have been putting his players through their paces, and no doubt keeping an eye on fitness levels as we have a supremely busy schedule coming up.
One man who has missed minutes due to fatigue recently is Antonio Valencia, with the Ecuadorian missing against both Everton and Sunderland. Now, he’s back.
As you can see from the second photo below, via Manchester United’s official Twitter feed, Antonio Valencia is back in training and ready to go.

We’ve genuinely missed him, albeit the right-back only missing just a couple of games. There really aren’t any better fullbacks in the country as he’s brilliant on both sides of the ball which is something quite rare in the modern game.
You also have to weigh up the other options. Matteo Darmian is a decent right-back, but aside from him we’re kind of light in that area of the field. Having Valencia back is key to our hopes of either finishing in the top four or going for Europa League glory. Hopefully, he’s now rested up and is ready to play twice a week from now until the end of the season, because we desperately need him to.
