Gary Neville, Manchester United legend. If the squad had an eighth of his fight, desire and willingness we’d be doing alright.
However, at this point in time, from top to bottom, Old Trafford isn’t an excellent place to be. Jose Mourinho is going to war with his players, while the football that is being played on the pitch is nothing short of turgid.
The ex-United right-back-turned-pundit took to Twitter to vent his frustrations with what is currently unfolding over at Salford Quays, and you have to say, he hits the nail on the head. Full marks for honesty…
This mess started when United sacked David Moyes after 8 months and we lost all sense of the values that the club had been built on for 100 years . It’s not the manager it’s the lack of football leadership above him. They are bouncing all over the place with no plan!

United find themselves in a predicament. Do they stick? Or Twist? For Mourinho, I personally believe that the damage has already been done as he’s lost the faith of his key man.
However, whoever the next man is, I’d urge Edward Woodward to stick it out and ride the wave a little bit. That assurance that your job is secure is huge, just ask a certain Scot who gave us the world…
