Back on transfer deadline day Manchester United made one of the most bizarre deals of the summer, as Louis van Gaal decided to loan out the talented Adnan Januzaj to Borussia Dortmund on a season-long deal.
At the time it was rumoured that Dortmund had the option to buy the 20-year old outright at the end of the loan period, but later we found out that wasn’t the case.
According to SportBild, if Manchester United do not want Adnan Januzaj to stay at the Theatre of Dreams permanently, Borussia Dortmund have first refusal on the Belgian winger as a clause in their loan contract.
It would be an absolute disaster if Louis van Gaal sold Januzaj permanently. He is one of the hottest properties in world football and in a few years he could certainly be one of the best in the game.
Hopefully he impresses whilst on loan in the Bundesliga and Louis van Gaal has a change of heart on the matter, but it does seem weird that the club decided to loan him despite Januzaj starting plenty of games for the club this season.
