Gill Appointed FA Vice-Chairman

Our Chief Executive, David Gill, has been formally made Vice-Chairman of the FA after a successful recommendation for the role. Gill was put forward by the Professional Game Board to replace Sir Dave Richards. Cue rival fans saying that we ‘control’ the FA….

Upon accepting the position, Gill said: “I’m delighted to have been appointed Vice-Chairman of The Football Association. The health and success of the Football Association is vital to the future of the game in England and I hope to justify the Board’s faith in me by helping to shape discussions and actions to deliver that.”

Gill was made Chief Executive of United almost ten years ago, replacing Peter Kenyon, in that time United have won 5 league titles, 1 FA Cup and a Champions League. Not bad, eh?
