Manchester United’s game against FC Basel was a triumphant one. Jose Mourinho’s Red Devils won the game 3-0 and sent out a message to the rest of Group A in the process. However, the victory came at a cost with Paul Pogba suffering an injury.
The France midfielder went down with an apparent hamstring problem in the first half, and I felt gutted for the 24-year-old because he started the match as our captain – on top of that, it was his first Champions League appearance for the Red Devils.
To see him suffer an injury was a huge blow, and although it didn’t have a bearing on the result on Tuesday night, losing a player of his calibre for any period of time will make the games a whole lot tougher for us.
Twitter was flooded with people sending messages of support to the midfield maestro, with the fans wishing him a speedy recovery whilst offering their views on the injury as a whole. It’s pretty clear that everyone is upset about the first major injury setback we’ve had this season – and hopefully, he’s not out of action for too long.
Check out the tweets aimed at Paul Pogba here:
Pogba out for a month, now we'll see our squad depth failings without him. We're gonna fall apart everything goes through him.

Pogba was so happy while the Champions League anthem was on. Such a shame that he got injured so early in the game.
