After lighting up the World Cup with some explosive performances for Columbia, it was inevitable that Juan Cuadrado was going to be linked with a move away from Fiorentina. The 26-year old only made the move to Italy permanently last month, but the player himself admits he could be on the moves sooner than he thought.
According to the London Evening Standard, Manchester United are in the running for his signature, but if you believe reports the speedy right-winger could cost in excess of £30million.
“I don’t know yet what will happen,” Cuadrado said. “At this moment I haven’t received any concrete offers from any club.”
“You read a lot of things in the press, but at the moment there is nothing concrete.
“I’m not in a hurry to decide my future.
“We’ll see what happens. Wherever I play I will try to give my best in every match.”
We’ve recently been linked with a big-money move for Angel Di Maria, who I’d much prefer we signed instead of Cuadrado. However if Louis van Gaal is indeed in for Cuadrado, I wouldn’t be too disappointed as we could do a whole lot worse.
