Manchester United Football Club have given us some great news this evening, as Sir Alex Ferguson is no longer in intensive care.
The Red Devils tweeted the news just over an hour ago, as they added that the former manager will now continue his rehabilitation as an inpatient.
This is just brilliant. Fergie has always been a fighter, but to hear that he’s out of intensive care already has absolutely made my evening.
In times like these, we always think about the family and loved ones. They’re the people who are going through it more than everyone else, but no doubt they’ll be feeling much more positive about the situation this evening.
Sir Alex no longer needs intensive care and will continue rehabilitation as an inpatient.
His family have been overwhelmed by the level of support and good wishes but continue to request privacy as this will be vital during this next stage of recovery. pic.twitter.com/7AFFspsaj7

Situations like this make you realise there is more important things to life than football. Ferguson gave so much of his time to the sport he loved dearly, but now he deserves to enjoy his retirement with his family and friends.
Hopefully, the 76-year-old continues his rapid recovery and sooner rather than later I’d like to think he’ll be back in the comfort of his own home, sipping a nice glass of red!
